Your PC Matters is currently seeking qualified / experienced candidates residing in the following suburbs and surrounding areas:
- Bundoora, Watsonia and Greensborough
- Carlton, Clifton Hill and Fitzroy
- Boxhill, Blackburn and Kerrimur
- Keysborough
- Glen Huntly, Ormond and Murrumbeena
The primary function of this position is to perform hardware and
software troubleshooting, repairs, and replace hardware in computers at
various member locations.
This position requires technical skills, people skills, A+
certification, and a flexible schedule. (If you already possess any IT
certifications, you will be a front-runner for this position.)
Technicians need to be familiar with operating systems such as WinNT,
Win 2000, Server 2000, XP, Linux, Unix. Knowledge of PC setup, adapter
configuration, FDisk, Disk formatting, and OS load and configuration.
You will work in a team environment with your local Territory Manager
and field staff. Our technicians earn a competitive hourly pay plus
perfomance bonus.
Examples of Duties:
- Install wireless router and ADSL or Cable internet
- Replace faulty power supply, motherboard etc
- Spyware and Virus removal
- Set up Microsoft Outlook with new email account
- Reinstall operating system
- Perform system backup
REQUIREMENTS
- A+ certification is preferred however a 2-year degree or
experience in an electronics/computer related field or consistent work
in related field will be considered
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be flexible to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
- Ability to be self-supervising working in a virtual capacity
- Must
be able to pass a background check including: drug screening, criminal
background check, possession of a valid drivers license and credit
history review
- Must have access to reliable car
- Must be detail oriented having the ability to write reports, records, and correspondence
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, high energy environment
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures
